Welcome to The Woodspeen Cookery School. Founded by chef John Campbell, our school is located in west Berkshire, in a farm building dating back to 1811. Following a sympathetic renovation project, we opened our cosy, state-of-the-art cookery school – and home to The Chef’s Table – in 2014.

We’ll focus on simple yet creative festive ideas, with recipes, pre-dinner planning notes and a time-plan to make sure your dinner party is memorable for all the right reasons.

We’ll help you identify the best quality produce and what to ask the fishmonger for to ensure he gives you the best produce, teaching you the skills required to prepare and cook your favourite fish and shellfish – from opening scallops to boning and filleting flat fish.

Chef’s Table

A truly unique dining experience, our Chef’s Table is located in the warm, welcoming atmosphere of our Cookery School kitchen. Then there’s the food. Handpicking the day’s finest ingredients, our Chef will create a bespoke Tasting Menu for up to twelve guests, cooking it to perfection just a few feet from your table.  Priced at £190 a head, and includes champagne and canapés on arrival, a seven-course tasting menu, matching wines, mineral water plus coffee and petit fours.
